We understand the home design process and we know that buying a set of house plans can be overwhelming. That’s why we will go the extra mile to find or design house plans and floor plans that meet your individual needs. We offer complete design services that include plan development, site planning and consulting. Our builder-ready plans and blueprints are available as reproducibles or CAD drawings.

Meet Our Team
Joe Ahmann
Joe received a diploma in architectural drafting from Kirkwood Community College in 1985 and has worked in the residential design arena for 30+ years. In 1994, Joe became a Certified Professional Building Designer (CPBD) through the American Institute of Building Designers and while he continues to specialize in quality home design, he has also taken on the challenge of commercial design with Fusion Architects as a senior designer.
Allison McGraw
In 2005, Allison graduated with an AAS Degree in the award winning NKBA accredited Interior Design program from DCTC in the twin cities. After working in the Cedar Rapids area for nearly two years at a high end interior design firm she caught the eye of Ahmann Design and was offered a sales position in 2007 working alongside Joe Ahmann on plan modifications and custom design.
Ariell Mauer
Ariell came to Ahmann Design in July of 2017 as an architectural design intern and quickly became a valuable asset to the team. She graduated in 2018 from Kirkwood Community College with an Associate of Arts degree in Architectural Technology and took on many tasks above and beyond drafting. In the spring of 2018, Ariell and her family relocated to Des Moines where she worked as a designer for a local cabinet design company.
Jill Franciscus
Jill Franciscus brings over 25 years of experience in design, specializing in the residential market. She has been the sole leader in bringing to life award-winning home designs and has been an integral part in assisting clients throughout the home building process. Having comed and trained in an industry that she truly loves.
Mitch Frazier
Mitch, a seasoned professional at Ahmann Design for almost a decade, totes thousands of projects across various scales, styles, and utilities. As a senior designer and client services representative, he guides clients through the entire design process, from initial sketches to full construction drawings. With a background in construction, Mitch blends functionality with aesthetics, ensuring top-quality designs that fulfill both client dreams and practical needs.
